The Black Diamond 40 Miler ultramarathon & relay will turn a wasted day, Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), into a beautiful day of friends and fellow runners covering 40.50 miles across open Tennessee highways and backroads.

Jackson to Gadsden to Alamo (past the Tennessee Safari Park) to Bells to Jackson

The race will start at All Saints Anglican Church in Jackson, Tennessee and take runners down country roads and small highways to Gadsden, TN, then Alamo, TN, past the Tennessee Safari Park, to Bells, TN and back down Old Bells Rd back to All Saints Anglican where we started several hours prior.

The race has just 1,529 feet of gain and will be one of the fastest 40 mile courses in the country.

The race will be a laid back, slow paced event. If you can imagine the child that the Strolling Jim 40 Miler and Vol State 500K would produce then it would be close to the Black Diamond 40 Miler.  There will be water jugs dropped at several spots along the course. Runners will need a handheld and prepared to be self-sufficient for most of the race.  There will be some connivence and other stores along the route to refill handhelds (in between water drops), get food, use the restroom, etc.

All runners will receive race swag TBD and all finishers will receive a BD40 medal. Awards to the winners.

Relay Division:
– 4 Person Relay – $220 until September 30th then $240 until October 31st then $260 until registration closes.
– 3 Person Relay – $165 until September 30th then $180 until October 31st then $220 until registration closes.

The Black Diamond 26.2 Marathon (Inaugural)
Saturday – November 30, 2019 – 6:30am (Saturday)

999 feet of gain. Beautiful country, open roads.

Same laid back race as the 40 miler but just for 26.2 miles. Water jugs, roaming aid stations, pure to the Black Diamond mindset.

Cost: $65 until Sep 30th, then $75 until November 11th, then $85 until registration closes  or the race fills.
