*Event has very limited spots! Most definitely will sell out!*

This is the inaugural El Cajon Mountain Ultramarathon: outside of the 100 mile distance, THIS is San Diego's toughest ultra!

Sweeping views. Crazy grades described as 'excessively steep'. An old mining track winds through the El Capitan Preserve, where once an old kaolin mine and veins of quartz were extracted from the rock -- today its 'San Diego County's toughest hike'. Runners will go up and down both ways on an out-and-back from the summit of El Cajon Mountain at 3648 feet, passing the abandoned mine and beautiful scenery of East County San Diego.

This is not a 'fatass' run, but it is most definitely an 'old school' ultra. No fancy swag, no beer garden, no cheering crowds.

33 miles of trail, over 10,000 feet of gain. 10 hour cutoff. There is the 44 mile option for the bold. No waitlist. Yes there will be a modest prize for finishers.
