If you are looking for a scenic and tough destination race in the state of Florida this is THE race to do....IF you are up for a challenge and can take care of yourself. Old school as it gets. Out and back from Hobe Sound Beach to Lake Okeechobee and back. Mostly single track remote rugged trails. You must be able to take care of yourself. You will have four 5 gallon drop buckets 15.5 miles apart that you will pack your food, drink and essentials in. You need to plan, execute your plan, stay on the trail, and Just Survive. Race is limited to 20 runners. No crews, no pacers, no aid stations, no GPS watches to keep you on course. Just you vs the course. Do your homework before signing up. It may be 80+ degrees with perfect trail conditions or 40 and very wet conditions or any variations in between. There has only been 7 official finishers in the 5 years of the race. Anyone completing the course within the rules and under 48 hours will receive a very nice buckle and a long sleeve tech finishers shirt.
