Kaniksu Ultras

Come join us for a weekend of mountain running in the Lower Selkirk Mountain Range of the Colville National Forest, WA. There's a race distance for all as well as lots of fun and camaraderie. Come experience one of the most beautiful areas the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Long Walk 100K

New to the Kaniksu Trail Runs - The Long Walk 100K - is a beast of a run! You'll run all of the K50 course with an extension that takes you south of Granite Peak. You'll start at Frater Lake and summit Granite Peak. As you return to the Granite Aid Station, you'll head Southwest on a single track trail that will eventually loop back to Just Up the Hill access point where you can meet crew before heading back to Frater. After that, you'll continue with the rest of the 50 mile course. Bring solid trail legs for this course because it's all trail with minimal dirt-road running!!!

Kaniksu 50-mile (K50)

The course is completed by running an 18 mile out-and-back and 32-mile loop. The out-and-back section climbs nine miles through the forest and ends on the rocky summit of Granite Peak. Participants will descend the same route back and finish at our race headquarters in Frater Lake. The loop is very runnable and made up of single track trails used mostly by hikers and some dirt bikes. There is 11,100 feet of elevation gain on this highly respectable course. There is a 20-hour cut-off.

CASCADE CREST 100 MILE ENDURANCE RUN QUALIFIER

Blister Club (Solo Ruck)

After several years of this event being a sub-category of Emory's Ruck Race, we decided that this needed to be recognized as a major event. Members of the Blister Club are those who have completed the 50-mile course with a ruck and under the 20-hour time limit. To register, simply look for Solo Ruck under events in registration.

Sweet 50k

This Sweet 50k (32-miler) is a lollipop-style course and boasts a whopping 7,000' feet of elevation gain! This course has an amazing single track trail that winds like a roller coaster to the first aid station (550) at 10 miles. After that, you run downhill for 4.3 miles on a dirt road to the next aid station (La Pit) (14 miles). From there, via Thomas Aid, you'll start to climb up to the highest point of your run and then head back down to 550 Aid Station (22ish miles). You'll return to Frater Lake (Finish) on the same roller coaster trail you started on. This Sweet 50k also has a generous 12 hour cut-off. The perfect setup for your first ultra!
