The course is run around the entire lake and is, mostly, on the dike which is a mixture of dual track, macadam, and crushed stone surfaces. A various amount of miles are on road to avoid the current construction sites ( # miles varies each year ). There are 22 access points to the dike for crew to meet you. The race is always run as close to a full moon weekend as possible and, if it is a clear night, you will not need a light up on the dike for much of it. Very scenic, both day and night, with a constant breeze to enjoy.
