Welcome to the Mountaineer Rumble 50K, 100K, and 100 Miler Race at Kings Mountain State Park, Clover, SC
During the event you’ll run a 31.1 mile (50K) loop that will highlight the CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze), the National Recreational Trail (Blue Blaze), the Poplar Point Trail (White Blaze), and portions of Piedmont and Apple Roads. Runners will have beautiful views of creeks, rolling hills, Civilian Conservation Camp remnants, hardwoods, and pines. Each loop is 2500 +/- feet of elevation gain.
50K runners will complete one loop, 100K runners will complete two loops, and 100 mile runners will complete three loops plus a 6.7 mile smaller loop. Each loop will have five fully-stocked aid stations with one water-only station that you’ll pass twice. Time limits are 10 hours (50K), 20 hours (100K), and 32 hours (100 Mile).
Runners will all receive a finisher’s awards. 50K and 100K will receive similar awards noting their distance. 100 Mile finishers will receive a custom designed buckle for their accomplishment.
Beginning in 2022 runners that have completed all three distances will receive a special custom handmade award to display both finishers medals and buckle. Any order of finishes will be accepted, three year finishing streak not required.
