WELCOME
Ohrid Ultra-Trail® is an international outdoor sports event taking place annually in the Galicica National Park and Prespa-Ohrid region, N.Macedonia. The second edition that encompasses 3 trail running races is scheduled on May 22-24 2020.

UNIQUE NATURE
A superlative natural phenomenon, Lake Ohrid is an UNESCO World Heritage natural and cultural area since 1979. It provides a refuge for numerous endemic species of freshwater fauna and flora dating from the Tertiary period. Situated on the shores of the lake, the town of Ohrid is one of the oldest human settlements in Europe.

ITRA POINTS
All races of Ohrid Ultra-Trail® are organized in accordance with ITRA (International Trail Running Association) medical and safety guidelines and finishers are awarded qualifying points for UTMB®.

The iconic St. Naum Monastery on the south side of the Lake Ohrid is the starting point of Galicica Ultra - a 66k trail race with 3,350 meters elevation gain. In the early morning tranquility of Crn Drim river sources, the route follows the main ridgeline taking on trails and dirt roads in the heart of Galicica National Park revealing captivating landscapes of both Lake Prespa and Lake Ohrid all at once, to the finish line down by Ohrid town square.

The namesake race Ohrid Ultra-Trail® is 107 km long with 4,950 meters elevation gain and athletes start their adventure at midnight snaking through cobblestone alleys of Ohrid old town, passing by several villages in the lower slopes of Mount Galicica to the iconic St. Naum Monastery on the south side of the Lake Ohrid. There, in the early morning tranquility of Crn Drim river sources, the route follows the main ridgeline taking on trails and dirt roads in the heart of Galicica National Park revealing captivating landscapes of both Lake Prespa and Lake Ohrid all at once, to the finish line down by Ohrid town square.
