Scout Mountain Ultras are beautiful and challenging mountain running events held near Pocatello, Idaho. All the distances, 21, 50, and 100 miles, run over the summit of Scout Mountain in the Caribou Targhee National Forest. Founded in 2008 with a 50 mile event the races have have become the premier ultra events in Southeast Idaho. We work very hard to minimize our impact on the environment and strive to increase the environmental literacy of all of our participants. Much more information is found on our website, including information about the courses, the timelines for the event, crewing, and much more. Given the difficulty of our course, we strongly recommend that you complete a 50 mile mountain ultra prior attempting our 100 mile event.
