To get to the start, you will have to climb the mountain of Lure by road to La Sauvagine. During this ascent, you will be able to immerse yourself in the wild beauty of this superb mountain of Lure located in the heart of Provence.
With W20, you will experience a condensed version of the land of Giono in a winter version.
The start is from Lure Station (04230 - Saint-Etienne-Les-Orgues) on Saturday at 9am.
As soon as the arch is crossed, you get to the heart of the matter. After passing the Bois des Glacières and joining the Pré du Fau plot, you find yourself at an altitude of 1,687 m on the Cavalets ridge.
You are at km 3.4.
The magic will work! You will be at the start of your passage on the Lure ridge with a breathtaking 360 ° view. The alpine arc to the north will seem very close and the view over the Durance valley to the south will remind you that you are in Provence. You will feel yourself growing wings, both closer to the earth and closer to the sky.
Pebbles, air, intense light, you will want to fly, to fly over this ridge line. You will have in sight the antennas, which indicate the summit of Lure, and which will appear and disappear according to the profile of the course. You will reach the highest point at 1826 m at km 6.5.
Your journey like a tightrope walker on this ridge line continues. First up to Pas de la Graille at km 9.6 where you will find refreshments.
Then you will continue to Cairn 2000! Cairn built by all the inhabitants of Cruis to symbolize the turn of the millennium.
At this point, you are at km 11, you have done half of the route.
After a rapid descent in the undergrowth of almost 3 km, you will tackle a slow and steady climb over 6 km. You will then be at km 19 and it is at this point that you will join your friends on the W35 route.
You will only have a few kilometers left to reach the arrival at the Station de Lure, the oldest ski resort in the department, we have been skiing there since 1937.
