The whole team is happy to offer you the Trail de Haute Provence which will take place from October 29 to 31, 2021, in the heart of Provence, in the Pays de Forcalquier - Montagne de Lure. 

We invite you to take advantage of a long weekend in May to come and discover our marvelous landscapes and share emotions with family, friends or in a club.

On the THP 2021 program  :

● 8 adult courses.
● 4 children's races.

Friday will be more Sport & Fun oriented:

● THP kids challenge: 4 children's courses from 0.5 Km to 5 Km.

● CitaTrail (10 Km, 300 m +): urban trail.

Saturday will be more Sport & Performance oriented:

● Ultra de Provence (150 Km, 7000 m +), 6 ITRA points : exclusively solo.
● Cap à Lure (80 Km, 3650 m +), 4 ITRA points.
● Lure Marathon (44 Km, 2300 m +), 2 ITRA points.
account for the challenge of the Trails de Provence (long trail).
● Les Bories (27 km, 1300 m +), 1 ITRA point.

● Les Mourres (15 km, 600 m +).

The CitaTrail is a 10 km and 300m D + route, which goes fast. It is won in 35 minutes! After a flat start to the race, near the stadium, you will take a small dirt road which will take you to the old road to Villeneuve. From there, you will take wide calades to reach the citadel of Forcalquier. A magical portion of this route ... You will go around the citadel, a 360 ° panorama of the surroundings of Forcalquier, then you will go down through the old town, pass in front of the citadel to go along the THP village, and climb back up to go at the Saint Marc Chapel. A beautiful descent will bring you back to Forcalquier, taking you under the viaduct and joining the rue des Marronniers with a breathtaking view of the citadel. You will then arrive at the Paradis climb, short but very intense ... Another part of the old town and return via the Cordeliers convent with: crossing the old cloister… You will then return to the THP village where the finish line and well-deserved supplies await you! The CitaTrail is perfect for discovering the town of Forcalquier and enjoying the festive atmosphere of the old town.

The Les Mourres course with its 15.5 km and 600m D +, will make you discover Forcalquier and its surroundings in the most beautiful way possible. The start will be given from the heart of Forcalquier at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. From the starting arch, you will set off for more than 2.5 km of climb, you will pass near the Saint Marc chapel, walk along a beautiful olive grove, before finding yourself in a more mineral landscape, typical of the Mourres. When the climb is completed, you will see on your left, below, a beautiful reservoir of water, an astonishing blue. You will descend straight onto the dam, a technical descent in a very beautiful setting. You will then have almost covered 3 km of race, you will then continue by alternating uphill and false flat for 4 km, passing on stony paths, softer portions, you can run all the time, with a sustained effort. A last steeper passage will take you downhill, 4 km of happiness! It's finally time to stretch your stride. Have fun, enjoy this moment, you will be able to run light and fast and take maximum pleasure. At the Truques farm, you will find supplies, this end of the course is common to all Saturday races, so you can enjoy a superb atmosphere and invigorating encouragement on the trails. You will still have to cross a beautiful portion, the climb of the Truques, you will then see the mountain of Lure, in a beautiful light of the end of the day, typical of Haute Provence. This climb to Les Truques will take you to the bottom of the geological site of Les Mourres, dear to the Forcalquiérens. You will then run in the middle of stone mushrooms, born several million years ago. Les Bories is a 27km race with 1,300m of D +. Being a finisher will earn you 1 ITRA point. This race counts for the challenge of the Trails de Provence (Trail short). The start will be given from the heart of Forcalquier on Saturday 24 October at 10am. This loop will make you discover a concentrate of the country of Forcalquier. In fact, from the start, on the top of the first steep path, you will have, when you turn around, a magnificent view of the old town and the citadel. From there, a beautiful and long descent with a view of the mountain of Lure, will lead you to the foot of the first difficulty of the day: a climb of 3km and 400mD +, you will then cross the very pretty hamlet of Ybourgues and you will climb up the hill , with a portion cleared just for your passage: it's straight up the climb! Finally rolling paths, flexible tracks, you will be able at this time of the race to lengthen the stride, to skirt a field of lavender before starting your descent on Limans. On your right, below, the Laye dam, in front of you, the Montagne de Lure and a beautiful view over the roofs of Limans, try to watch where you are going because this descent is steep ... You will arrive in the heart of the village of Limans for your first supply, you will then be 12km from the route, almost halfway, it will also be the first time barrier, you will have to be there before 12:30 pm. As soon as you leave Limans, once the Laye river has been crossed, you will begin the second difficulty of this race, a beautiful climb comparable to that of Ybourgues and which ends in apotheosis with the ascent of "La coupe de bois", steep as you wish, do not hesitate to turn around, you will soon see the Mont Ventoux appear behind you, and always Lure, very close ... The Lure Marathon is a 44 km race and 2300m of D + which earns 2 ITRA points. This race counts for the challenge of the Trails de Provence (Trail long) . The departure is given from the village of Lardiers on Saturday at 7am. To get there, the THP offers a shuttle from Forcalquier, remember to book it when you register online, a left-luggage service will also be offered. With the Lure Marathon, you will experience a summary of the country of Giono. Indeed, the start of the race is given at the foot of the Lure mountain in the heart of the village of Lardiers and you get straight into the heart of the matter. As soon as the arch is crossed, Lure is there, waiting for you. Wide paths, in the middle of the pines, will lead you to the Bergerie du Gros Chêne. At km 4, admire this tree, given its age and majesty, it will accompany you on your ascent. Because here, the landscape changes and you will then walk in a beech undergrowth, running through the leaves, which sometimes will reach you mid-calf. When you leave the forest, the magic will operate, you will be at the start of the Lure ridges, the Ventoux to the west will seem very close. Welcome to a mythical portion of the route, you will cross the Contras, you will feel your wings grow, both closer to the earth and closer to the sky. You will reach the summit at 1,826 m before reaching the Station de Lure, the oldest ski resort in the department, we have been skiing there since 1937. You will find supplies at the Sauvagine refuge, accessible by car, which will allow your loved ones to come and encourage you. Cap à Lure is an 80 km course with 3,670 m of D +, this race will earn you 4 ITRA points. The start will be given in Forcalquier on Saturday morning at 6 a.m. You will go to the front but very quickly the first lights will accompany you to cross the hamlet of Ybourgues and reach the Rocher d'Ongles for your first supply. Then, still by the hills, you will take the direction of Lardiers, the mountain of Lure in sight ... but before reaching this beautiful village, you will have to cross the "descent of Lardiers", technical and fun as you wish. leaves no one indifferent ... There, you will leave the runners of the Ultra de Provence to set sail for Lure! A long and beautiful climb will await you, you will discover the Bergerie du Gros Chêne, this remarkable tree will give you the strength to climb through the Guérin valley, in the beech leaves. When you leave the forest, the magic will operate, you will be at the start of the Lure ridges, the Ventoux to the west will seem very close. Ultra de Provence respects the spirit of the Trail de Haute Provence since while being demanding and difficult due to its distance, the relief, the elevation, the heat and the time limit to complete this route, it is also accessible to the greatest number of people. . It is a virtual guarantee to be FINISHER from an Ultra distance no matter what. The route will be signposted over the entire distance but we recommend downloading the track on a watch or on a smartphone.
