Join us for the first annual Washington Wild 25k and 50k, brought to you by Yeti Trail Runners (www.yetitrailrunners.com) and Banshee Running. The races will treat runners to beautiful trails and breathtaking views of the mountains and alpine lakes.
The race will begin and end at Cedar Falls trailhead. Runners will go east on the Palouse to Cascades Trail to the trailhead for Olallie Trail, a new single-track mountain bike trail. Runners will follow this trail gently upward to the peak of Mount Washington, where the 25k runners will turn around and head back to the start/finish. From here, the 50k runners will cross over the peak to a series of forest service roads that take them back down to the Palouse to Cascades trail. Runners will run west on the trail until the intersection with Change Creek trail, a rustic climbing trail, which will take runners back up to the peak of Mount Washington. From there, the course follows the Olallie mountain bike trail back to the Palouse to Cascades trail and back to the finish line.
There will be one aid station for the 25k and three aid stations for the 50k distance. Awards will be given to the top three winners of the womens and mens races, and all finishers will receive a medal and a t-shirt.
