Old Farts Trail Ultra 50K Relay
Wild West Old Fart's 50K Relay Monday May 27th, 2024
Relay will be in Lowell at Fallasburg Park site B-3
Come on out and get all the challenges and accolades of the Old West right here in the Mid-West in the Wild West Old Fart's 50K Ultra Team Relay.
The Race is Held at Fallasburg Park just North of Lowell
If you are coming from the expressway I-96...get off exit 52 Lowell Exit and turn north, go approx. 7.4 miles to Fallasburg Park Dr. and turn right(its only a right turn)...go another .7 tenths of a mile and turn right onto Covered Bridge Road for .5 of a mile. The start and Finish will be in the park down by the river at Picnic area B-3.
This is a trail race and relay....if you need or want to run on a relay team but don't have a team just email Coach Dan at coachdroski@aol.com
Relay Teams must bring there own trail support, we will have one limited aid station at the start/finish line.
All relay teams will run in one division and it does not matter how many team members that you have so long as you have at least 2 runners and max of 10 runners.
Each Team must complete 10 loops...every relay member must run a minimum of two loops...you will get wet so pack more than one pair of running shoes/clothes, towell, and a great attitude to have fun!!! Remember...it's not how many times that you fall down that counts...it's a trail race....most people fall at least once!
Bugs should be OK...you will get wet and maybe muddy on each loop....there is a shallow river crossing on each loop twice, possibly three times you may get wet per loop.
One more thought....there has been some out of town people that are coming in from out of town...this is why we call them out of towners... Lowell does now have a tiny hotels called Main Street Inn...book early...other wise the nearest hotel is in Grand Rapids called the Country Inn and Suites located on the East Beltline and 1-96 expressway.
