Welcome to the Wy'east Howl on Mt. Hood! The Howl offers wildly scenic and challenging 100K, 50K trail running races on Wy'east (the native name for Mt. Hood) and its surrounding ridgelines, including the iconic Timberline Trail. As the only ultramarathons and half marathon held on the slopes of Mt. Hood proper, the event provides an up-close, unique and beautiful trail race experience.

The event is staged at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Area, offering an accessible, family-friendly full service venue right on the mountain! The 100K starts and finishes at Mt. Hood Meadows. The 50K runners ride shuttle buses from Mt. Hood Meadows to their start line east of the mountain on Surveyor’s Ridge, then run all the way back. Under the summit of Wy’east, we'll celebrate every race finisher's accomplishment together with awards, raffle prizes, excellent food, craft beverages, live music and fun activities with friends and family at the lodge patio finish line.
